legos, blocks and dress up

Naturally, Elliot’s originality in her play time stuns her own parents.  Enough so that we share it here!

happy birthday to Mommy

As part of Sarah’s birthday, we visited her family’s old Napa home—the same home she was brought into as a newborn.  We followed it up with some Sushi in downtown Napa and then a princess cake at home!

behind the scenes

Running our own business, we find ourselves occasionally needing to take our youngest Creative along with us.  In this case, she joined us on a fashion photo shoot at Jacuzzi Winery.  Sarah was documenting the shoot, but couldn’t resist filming the true star . . .

back at the old house again.

I spent my early childhood in a small farming town in the middle of California flat lands.  I loved it—the tight-knit community, the agricultural lifestyle, potlucks, parades, little league, etc.  After moving across the continent and then north and finally back again full circle to northern California, it’s a surreal experience to visit this place that looms so large in my nostalgia.  On our way to pick up Mommy from the Sacramento airport, we stopped by the old stomping grounds and Elliot patiently took the tour . . .

the main drag.

I often wonder what it would've been like to have never left.

kindergarten through second grade here . . .

I still remember standing in that grass on the first day of school.

the Peanuts

I love The Peanuts.  The zen comedy is gorgeous and the drawing is so emotive and elegant.  Living near Charles Schulz  home town, we’ve always intended to visit the museum in his honor.  An old friend from high school was going to be the “Cartoonist in Residence” there, so it was just the extra bit of reason we needed to finally visit.

there and back again

A walk we often take.  Setting out with a shopping bag full of returnables on a sunny morning and returning with a few necessities and sundries.  One of us often gets a free ride . . .

Just another typical day at the Sonoma plaza.
